This style of marking tool is an industry standard mass produced insert therefore economically priced. Both alpha and numeric marks are catered for. Standard styles of inserts are; Magsitype, Typortype and Eurotype. All these styles can be supplied as boxed sets, A-Z, 0-9, ampersands etc or as individual items. Frederick follows supply hand holders, press holders and rollmarking holders for all our styles of steel type.

The practicality of the steel type marking system comes from the ability to rapidly compose interchangeable strings of characters.

Usage Description

The mark required is made up by inserting the required pieces of type into the appropriate holder and then imparting a blow using a hammer or machine. This method of marking is faster and clearer than that produced by using individual hand-stamps. Our steel type is interchangeable and is compatible with other manufacturers type; it is manufactured to the highest quality standards to give satisfactory working life when marking steel or other hard materials.
