EDM Die Sinking Electrodes and Subcontract Die Sinking |
Frederick Follows Ltd manufacture EDM marking tools called electrodes. Our electrodes are used during the electro discharge machining process (Spark erosion). This process is used inside tool cavities to produce intricate shapes, logos, product codes etc. The types of tooling produced using the EDM process, range from hot forging dies, die casting tools to plastic injection moulding tools.
The materials used to produce our electrodes are predominantly - copper, copper tungsten and carbon graphite. Frederick Follows also take customers forging dies and plastic mould tooling etc and directly machine the logos and product/date codes into them. |
